Fatima Sana Shaikh plays the role of Indira Gandhi in the upcoming film, Sam Bahadur. The actress revealed how she is preparing to play India's first woman Prime Minister, which includes reading a lot of material on Indira Gandhi's childhood.
Fatima Sana Shaikh, who was recently seen in Amazon Prime Video's Modern Love Mumbai, will be seen playing the role of Indira Gandhi in Sam Bahadur, which stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. The actress revealed that she did just one round of look-test for the film. Sharing her excitement about the film with a daily, she said that Sam Bahadur is very special to her as she is working with Meghna Gulzar. She further added, "I got excited about the film only because of Meghna Gulzar."
The actress also revealed how she is preparing for her role. Fatima said that she is watching Indira Gandhi's interviews and reading a lot of material on her. She further said that though all this won't be shown on screen but it is really interesting to learn about eminent figures who have changed history.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen in Taapsee Pannu's Dhak Dhak.
