Gold, silver prices today: On Monday, June 27, both gold and silver are trading on the higher side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Check the latest city-wise prices here.
As per the latest rates released by the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), both gold and silver are retailing on the higher side on Monday.
Witnessing a hike of Rs 197 or 0.39 per cent, gold futures, maturing on August 5, 2022, stand at Rs 50,730 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, silver futures, due on July 5, 2022, recorded a jump of Rs 611 or 1.01 per cent and were retailing at Rs 60,799 per kg on the MCX against the previous close of Rs 60,419 per kg.
On the international front, Britain, the United States, Japan and Canada have decided to ban new imports of Russian gold as part of efforts to tighten the sanctions squeeze on Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine, the British government said on Sunday.
As per Reuters, the ban will come into force shortly and apply to newly mined or refined gold, the government statement said ahead of a meeting of Group of Seven leaders in Germany on Sunday.
The move will not affect previously exported Russian-origin gold, it added.
