Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday presented financial assistance as part of a rehabilitation package to 1,105 ex-cadres of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) and said that the state government has created opportunities for the disgruntled youths who have returned to the mainstream. During a programme held at Tamulpur in Baksa district, Himanta Biswa Sarma said the rehabilitation package was an important component of the Bodo Peace Accord signed on 27 January 2020, as it economically empowers the youth and powers the state’s development and progress.
