ED summons advocate Jayshri Patil to record statement in money-laundering case against Anil Deshmukh

Jayshri Patil had moved the Bombay High Court seeking a probe against Anil Deshmukh. The ED has summoned her to record her statement.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned advocate Jayshri Patil to record her statement in connection with the money-laundering case registered against former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh and others. Jayshri Patil had approached the Bombay High Court seeking an investigation against Anil Deshmukh based on allegations of corruption and extortion levelled against him by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh. In a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on March 20, Param Bir Singh had alleged that Anil Deshmukh had instructed Assistant Inspector Sachin Vaze and ACP Sanjay Patil to collect Rs 100 crore per month for him, largely through extortion.More Related News
