Dravidar Kazhagam workers booked for derogatory slogans on Lord Krishna

Workers of Dravidar Kazhagam, a party in Tamil Nadu, have been booked for purportedly raising derogatory slogans about Hindu Gods.
Tamil Nadu Police has registered a case against members of the Dravidar Kazhagam (DK) party for purportedly raising slogans against Hindu deities and insulting Hindu rituals during a rally.
The Madurai SS Colony Police on Thursday, June 2 filed cases against members of DK for raising inflammatory slogans.
The slogans were raised during a rally held on May 29. The video of the sloganeering was produced before the Madurai Police by the Hindu Makkal Katchi, a fringe group, who also demanded action against those who chanted slogans.
The purported slogans included controversial remarks about Lord Krishna. The members involved also questioned Hindu rituals that include body piercing.
"How can we accept the claim that Lord Ayyappa is a god?" the DK members were heard chanting.
The police have filed cases under three sections, including insulting religious sentiments and insulting the practice of worship.
