Dinesh Karthik on England’s XI for T20I decider: Ben Stokes should bat at 3, Sam Billings in for Dawid Malan

England tour of India 2021: Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has weighed in on the England batting order issue and suggested a promotion up the order for Ben Stokes at No. 3 while bringing in Sam Billings at 6.
Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik, who is a part of the commentary panel on Sky Sports, has suggested a couple of changes in England’s batting order ahead of the 5th T20I which will be the series decider. India won the 4th T20I by 8 runs to level the series 2-2 ahead of the final fixture. According to Dinesh Karthik, top-ranked T20I batsman Dawid Malan could be dropped for the series decider and England could consider a promotion for all-rounder Ben Stokes at No.3. While Malan could bat at No.6, Karthik suggested that he would rather have wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings at that position. "If I know Morgan, he'll stick to the same XI and make sure he gives them confidence. But, for me, I have nothing against Malan - I think he's a good player - but I think Stokes should bat at No 3, with the intent he showed, the way he was taking on the bowlers,” Karthik said on Sky Sports.More Related News
