Dholpur clashes: 2 arrested, AIUDF presses Assam govt to provide land to evicted families

In connection with the clashes in Dholpur area of Assam on September 23, the police have arrested two individuals. Meanwhile, the AIUDF has issued an ultimatum to the state government to provide the evicted families with alternative land within 15 days.
In connection with the clashes between residents and security forces in Dholpur area of Assam on September 23, the police have now arrested two individuals.
Sushanta Biswa Sarma, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Darrang district, confirmed the news over a telephonic conversation. The arrested persons have been identified as 37-year-old Md Asmat Ali Ahmed from Kirakara village and 47-year-old Md Chand Mamud of No. 3 Dholpur village.
