Dhanush's Karnan in trouble over Pandarathi Puranam song, court to send legal notices

Prabhu, a resident of Madurai, filed a welfare petition against makers of Karnan over Pandarathi Puranam song. He claimed that the song hurts the sentiments of certain communities in Tamil Nadu.
Dhanush's upcoming film Karnan has been facing troubles ever since the film went on floors. Recently, a welfare petition was filed by a resident of Madurai over the lyrics of the song, Pandarathi Puranam. Following his petition, the Madurai High Court is set to send legal notices to the makers of Karnan, YouTube and the censor board as well. Karnan is slated to release in theatres on April 9. WHAT IS THE ISSUE AGAINST PANDARATHI PURANAM? Pandarathi Puranam, the second single from Karnan, released on March 2 and has received an overwhelming response from the audience. However, Prabhu, a resident of Madurai has filed a petition with the Madurai High Court claiming that the lyrics hurt the sentiments of certain communities in Tamil Nadu.More Related News
