Democrats can also come across as “preaching” and “talking down,” Seth Moulton said on Fox News.
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) admitted to Fox News’ Bill Hemmer on Wednesday that he believes the Democratic Party has “fallen out of touch” with most Americans.
Democrats can come across as “preaching” and “talking down,” said Moulton.
“Sometimes we have the facts but it is the way we come across that really turns people off,” the Iraq War veteran continued, referring to fellow Marines who’d told him even before the 2024 election: “Look, I know Trump is immoral and nuts but you guys are so out of touch.”
Moulton, who ran for the Democratic nomination for president in 2020, said his party now has to show “we can get back in touch with Americans, especially around the issues that really matter.”
“There is a problem at the border, for too long Democrats denied it,” he noted. “We did have a problem with inflation, the Biden administration didn’t want to talk about it. We’ve got to talk about these issues and actually present solutions to the American people.”
