Deep Sidhu death: Police find liquor bottle in actor's car

The Sonipat Police have found a bottle of liquor in Deep Sidhu's car that met an accident on Tuesday. The actor was killed in the accident.
The Sonipat Police have found a bottle of liquor in the ill-fated car of Deep Sidhu that met an accident late on Tuesday. Punjabi singer and actor Deep Sidhu, who was accused of instigating violence at the Red Fort during the farmers’ protests last year, was killed in the accident in Sonepat near the KMP Kharkhoda toll.
The incident occurred around 9:30 pm near Kharkhoda. Police are now searching for the driver of the 22-tyre truck with which their car had collided.

The autopsy was conducted on Wednesday morning. The body was later handed over to his relatives for cremation.
Sonipat SP Rahul Sharma said: “We are again investigating the scene of the accident. We also found a half-filled bottle of liquor from Deep Sidhu's car. It looks like a case of reckless driving.” “A case has been registered against the owner and the driver (unidentified yet) of the truck involved in the accident,” he added.

Deep was accompanied by an NRI (non-resident Indian) friend, Reena Rai, who was with him in the vehicle at the time. Police are questioning her. According to the police, Deep's NRI friend had come to India from America on January 13. Both had been staying at the Oberoi Hotel in Gurugram. After leaving Gurugram around 7:30 pm, they took KMP route from Badli toll plaza.
