Construction of Kora Kendra flyover in Mumbai completed, ready for public use

After nearly four years, the construction work of the Kora Kendra flyover in Borivali, Mumbai, has been completed.
The construction work of the Kora Kendra flyover in Borivali, Mumbai, has been completed and will soon be opened for public use.
With the new flyover, commuters will now have better east-west connectivity along one of the busiest stretches in Borivali (West).
The flyover runs from the stretch near the Kora Kendra ground and bypasses two busy junctions Kalpana Chawla Chowk and Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Chowk where it connects to the Link Road.
Deputy municipal commissioner (infrastructure) Ulhas Mahale said, “The construction work on the flyover is completed and it will be open for motorists soon.”
The construction has been completed after almost four years, escalating the cost from Rs 121 crore to over Rs 173 crore.
The flyover construction started in November 2018 but was halted during the Covid-induced lockdown.
