CNG pumps will remain closed in Delhi today in view of a protest called by the Delhi Petrol Dealers Association. The association said that the reimbursement of the electricity bills of CNG pumps is not being done by Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), resulting in huge losses.
The Delhi Petrol Dealers Association has announced that there will be no CNG supply in the national capital on Wednesday, August 10, from 6 AM to 10 PM. The association has called for a protest saying that the reimbursement of the electricity bills of CNG pumps is not being done by Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL).
According to the pump dealers, the non-reimbursement of the electricity bills is resulting in huge losses every day.
As per reports, earlier in March 2022, the Dealers Association also held a meeting with IGL regarding the reimbursement of the electricity bill. They were assured that the issue would be resolved in a month. However, the matter is pending.
To mark the protest, the Dealers Association has called for ‘No CNG Sale’ day which will affect around 250 CNG stations across the national capital.
CNG is currently being sold at Rs 75.61 per kg in Delhi.
