Sexual abuse and murder of minor girl at Vandipperiyar
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has registered a suo motu case in connection with the sexual abuse and murder of a six-year-old girl at Vandipperiyar on June 30. The commission gave a notice to the District Police Chief (DPC) directing him to conduct an inquiry without revealing the identity of the victim. The panel also directed that appropriate legal action was taken in accordance with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012. The inquiry report should be submitted along with relevant documents, including a copy of the first information report, autopsy report, and details of the action taken within ten days.More Related News
