Chennai Press Club condemns manhandling of journalist at Vijay's event, demands apology and action.
The Chennai Press Club (CPC) on Wednesday (February 26, 2025) condemned the alleged manhandling of a journalist during the event organised to mark the second year commencement of actor-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam in a private resort at Poonjeri near Mamallapuram.
In a statement, the CPC said a private security personnel posted at the premises allegedly manhandled Elango, a journalist working in a Tamil media house, when he attempted to enter the meeting venue. The CPC also demanded an apology from Mr. Vijay and demanded action against those involved in the incident.
