A case has been registered against famous Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma over his controversial tweet against presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu.
A case has been registered against famous Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma over his controversial ‘Pandav and Draupadi’ tweet against presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu.The case has been registered by Manoj Sinha at Luknow’s Hazratganj Kolwali against Verma under several sections including the IT Act.
This is not the first complaint filed against Ram Gopal Varma. His tweet sparked controversy across the country. BJP leaders Gudur Reddy and T Nandeshwar Gaur lodged a complaint against Ram Gopal Varma at a police station in Hyderabad.
Ram Gola Varma, who directed films like 'Rangeela' and 'Satya', tweeted on NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu. He wrote, "If Draupadi is the President then who are the Pandavas? And more importantly, who are the Kauravas?" His tweet was condemned by social media users.

Hyderabad Police Inspector B Prasad Rao talked about the complaint and said, "We have received the complaint and it has been sent for legal advice. After getting the legal advice, we will file a complaint against Verma under the SC/ST Act."
