Care Today Fund with VGSSP project provide help to fishermen in Visakhapatnam

On Monday, 400 Kondakarla lake dependent families received grants worth Rs 18,42,000 from Care Today Fund.
Care Today Fund - TV Today Network, a CSR Initiative of India Today Media Group, with the help of NGO Visishta Gramodaya Swayam Sadhana Parishad (SADHANA) provided assistance worth Rs 18 lakh to the fishermen in Visakhapatnam.
Four inland Kondakarla Lake dependent Villages, namely Kondakarla, Vadrapalli, Mallavaram and Thotada, were chosen for the program.
On Monday, 400 Kondakarla lake dependent families received grants worth Rs 18,42,000 from Care Today Fund.
It included support for the purchase of 10 fishing boats, four tourist boats, 30 safety jackets, 50 nylon fishing nets, 100 plastic baskets/cages, two lakh fingerlings, two units of seed culture on 1.5 hectares of land.
Besides, the Care Today Fund also provided kitchen garden support to 100 women for food security, 50 units of fish vending accessory kits for women, including ice boxes, weighing machines, torch lights, umbrellas, tarpaulin sheets and cutting instruments were also distributed.
