Bus driver held for killing 54-year-old man in collision at Delhi's Akshardham flyover

Shakarpur police station received information about an accident involving a bus and a scooty at around 8.30 am on Wednesday. Upon reaching the spot, police officials found a dead body with severe head injuries and a damaged scooty.
The deceased was identified as 54-year-old Devdutt Sharma, a resident of Ram Nagar Extension. He had gone out to get rations for his house when the bus hit him, after which the bus driver fled from the scene. The spot was inspected by the crime team and the dead body was shifted to the mortuary.
The alleged bus driver, identified as Vinod Kumar, a resident of Noida sector 66, has been apprehended. Appropriate legal action is also being initiated in the matter.
