Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday commented on the political situation in Bihar and said, “The BJP has fallen in the same well that it digs for others.”
He further said, “They were in a bid to topple the Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand but lost power in Bihar. They had to eat a humble pie in Bihar. It is apparent that their alliance partners are feeling suffocated in the NDA and are slowly alienating themselves from the folder.”
Bhupesh Baghel also said the formation of a new government in Bihar under Nitish Kumar’s leadership “tells a lot about the equations that could surface ahead of the 2024 elections”.

The chief minister is in Ranchi to participate in the closing ceremony of a two-day Janjati Mahotsav organised on the occasion of World Tribal Day. He expressed his gratitude to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the state government for inviting him to attend the event.
Earlier, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren told India Today that there are a lot of public issues such as drought, Covid-19 and unemployment that need redressal but parties like the BJP are “busy merely with forming and toppling governments in the country”.
He urged the people to choose wisely in 2024 and congratulated Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Tejaswi Yadav on the new government.
