American singer and songwriter Billie Eilish briefly paused her concert at the O2 Arena in London last Saturday over fans safety concerns.
According to a report by BBC, the Grammy-winner halted her show as several fans faced difficulty in high temperatures. “Are you all okay?” she asked. “People were fainting and getting pulled out. It's hot, I know,” she added.
She asked her fans to take a step back and make space for people around them. She also asked her fans to just tell someone if they were feeling discomfort.
"Take a step back, give everybody some space. If someone looks a little woozy, just tell someone,” she said.
Eilish also asked the event security team to distribute water to the audience.
This is not the first time Eilish briefly stopped her concert to ensure the safety of her fans. Earlier this year, in February, she halted her performance in Atlanta after she noticed someone struggling to breathe in the audience. She only proceeded after the person got an inhaler.
"If you want to sit down, you are allowed. Go ahead, you're good. Sit down, take a breath,” she told her fans during another concert earlier this year.
