The West Bengal assembly passed a Bill on Monday, June 13, to replace Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as chancellor of state-run universities. This comes just weeks after the Bengal government had announced the decision that the CM will replace the Governor as Chancellor of all state-run universities.
