Assam, Meghalaya to settle inter-state border disputes in six areas by Dec 25: CM Conrad Sangma

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that the inter-state border dispute between Assam and Meghalaya will be settled in at least six areas by December 25.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that both the Meghalaya government and the Assam government have taken appropriate measures to settle inter-state border disputes in six areas by this year’s Christmas.
Out of 12 disputes, the government of both neighbouring states have taken six disputes as resolution at the beginning and these disputes are mainly Tarabari, Gizang, Fahala, Baklapara, Khanapara (Pilingkata) and Ratacherra. Tese areas fall under Cachar, Kamrup and Kamrup Metropolitan districts of Assam and West Khasi Hills, Ri-Bhoi and East Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya.
