Arnold Schwarzenegger recalls near-death experience after botched heart surgery: 'In the middle of a disaster'

Arnold Schwarzenegger is revealing new details about his heart operation in 2018 during which he nearly died, sharing how difficult the recovery process was for him.
"I said, ‘Well great. This is really great news.’ I mean, Jesus. Anyway, the bottom line is that you cannot roll the clock back. It's a disaster. At the time, a representative for the former governor of California said that Schwarzenegger had a previously scheduled operation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles to "replace a pulmonic valve that was originally replaced due to a congenital heart defect in 1997," but "during that procedure, an open-heart surgery team was prepared … in case the catheter procedure was unable to be performed."
