Anil Deshmukh resigns: Shiv Sena levels score with NCP in Maha Vikas Aghadi

Anil Deshmukh of the Nationalist Congress Party resigned as Maharashtra Home Minister on Monday. This comes only about a month after the state's Forest Minister Sanjay Rathod of the Shiv Sena resigned amidst a controversy.
Two ministers have resigned from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government of Uddhav Thackeray in Maharashtra. One has survived. Before Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh resigned from the Uddhav Thackeray government on Monday, Sanjay Rathod, the then forest minister, quit on February 28. On the face of it, both Anil Deshmukh and Sanjay Rathod resigned due to controversies but there were political equations that also cost them their ministerial berths. Anil Deshmukh’s resignation came after an adverse order from the Bombay High Court on Monday. The Bombay High Court order came despite a probe by a retired high court judge was instituted by the MVA government of Maharashtra.More Related News
