Akshay Kumar's Samrat Prithviraj declared tax-free in Gujarat

Akshay Kumar's latest release, Samrat Prithviraj, was declared tax-free in Gujarat. Earlier, the film was declared tax-free in three other states - Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Akshay Kumar's film Samrat Prithviraj was declared tax-free in Gujarat on Tuesday, June 7. The announcement comes days after three other states, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand, declared the film tax-free.
As per a PTI report, Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar-starrer Samrat Prithviraj was declared tax-free in Gujarat. The report read: “Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has decided to make Samrat Prithviraj, a Bollywood movie on the life of India’s brave warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan, tax-free in the state.” Earlier, Samrat Prithviraj was declared tax-free in three other states - Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath watched Akshay Kumar's Samrat Prithviraj at a special screening and loved it. He soon declared it tax-free in the state. Soon after the UP CM's announcement, Samrat Prithviraj was also declared tax-free in Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Samrat Prithviraj was released in theatres on June 3. The movie also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood in pivotal roles.
