AIUDF MLA alleges large presence of Myanmar nationals along Assam-Mizoram border

AIUDF MLA Suzam Uddin Laskar alleged that many Myanmar nationals illegally live along the Assam-Mizoram border. His remark came amidst the ongoing border dispute between Assam and Mizoram.
Amidst the ongoing Assam-Mizoram border dispute, Assam MLA Suzam Uddin Laskar alleged that a large number of Myanmar nationals illegally reside along the inter-state border who are involved in illegal activities like drugs trafficking and weapons smuggling. Suzam Uddin Laskar, All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) MLA from Katlicherra constituency in Assam’s Karimganj district, which also shares borders with Mizoram, told India Today TV that the Assam government are aware of the number of Myanmar nationals living along the state border.More Related News
