Ahead of the Telangana polls, the BJP is geared up for the national executive meeting in Hyderabad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior leaders will also attend the meeting at the Novotel and HICC complex in July.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is geared up for the national executive meeting that will commence on June 2 at 5 pm at the Novotel and HICC complex in Hyderabad. The party has started making arrangements for the two-day national executive meeting which comes ahead of the state assembly elections slated to be held next year.
On Wednesday, BJP state President and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, BJP state-in charge Tarun Chugh, Joint Organisation security Sivakumar, National Secretary Arvind Menon visited the Novotel and took stock of the arrangements.
Prime minister Narendra Modi, National President JP Nadda, Union Home minister Amit Shah and other top leaders, Chief Ministers and others will participate in the two-day-long meeting in Hyderabad.
The National Executive of BJP is the praesidium and chief executive body of the party, setting the overall strategic direction of the party and policy development.
This will be the first physical meeting of the key decision-making body of the BJP as the saffron party is eyeing to expand its footprints in the southern states of the country. The BJP has made significant gains in recent years in Telangana.
The party made big inroads in Hyderabad as it won 48 seats in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls while the TRS bagged 56 seats. BJP also won Dubbaka and Huzurabad by-elections, giving a big jolt to the ruling KCR.
Sources said that the meeting will be organised on July 2 and 3 and around 300 representatives will be participating in the meeting. The chief executive body of the BJP will be setting the overall strategic direction of the party and policy development.
