Agra: Taj Mahal sees drop in visitors after night curfew announcement

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) reported that 8212 tourists visited the Taj Mahal during the day on April 11, compared to 3279 on Tuesday, a difference of nearly 5000.
With the Agra administration announcing fresh Covid-19 curbs including night curfew, the number of tourists arriving in the city to visit the Taj Mahal has dropped by 5000 in the last few days. According to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), 8212 tourists visited the Taj Mahal during the day on April 11, compared to 3279 on Tuesday, a gap of nearly 5000. “The sharp increase in Covid-19 infections and threat of a night curfew in Agra have prompted tourists to avoid visiting the city,” a senior ASI official told India Today TV.More Related News
