While giving a speech in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Urban Naxals have taken over the Congress's vision.
A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jibe at Congress in Lok Sabha saying that the party has become the leader of ‘tukde Tukde gang’, the attack on the Grand Old Party continued in the Rajya Sabha. While giving a speech in the Upper House on Tuesday, PM Modi said that Urban Naxals have taken over Congress's vision.
PM Modi said, “When Congress was in power, they didn't allow country's development. Now, when in Opposition, they are obstructing the development of the country. They are now objecting to 'Nation'. If the idea of 'Nation' is unconstitutional, then why is your party called Indian National Congress?”
PM Modi claimed that the Congress’s thinking has been taken over by “Urban Naxals”.
“Congress is sort of tangled in Urban Naxal’s clutches. Their entire way of thinking has been captured by urban Naxals. This is why their way of thinking and their actions have become destructive and this is troubling for India,” PM Modi said.
Meanwhile, Congress MPs walked out of Rajya Sabha as the prime minister continued to speak in the House. Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said, "We've walked out of the PM Speech on Motion of Thanks because instead of speaking on President's Address he accused Congress."
