6 dead, 2 missing as two boats capsize in Odisha’s Malkangiri

Six bodies of children were recovered by Tuesday evening while two migrant labourers are still missing as two boats capsized in Sileru River under Chitrakonda block in Odisha's Malkangiri district on Monday night.

Six children feared drowned and two migrant labourers went missing after two boats capsized in Sileru River under Chitrakonda block of Malkangiri district in Odisha on Monday night. However, three people swam to their safety to the shore. Speaking to India Today, Malkangiri Collector Dr. Yeddula Vijay said that six bodies were recovered till 5:00 pm on Tuesday evening while two are still untraceable. "All the six bodies are of children, but two women are still missing. Search operation is still underway," he said.
