At least five more students were tested positive for Covid-19 at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)- Ahmedabad in the last 24 hours.
At least five more students were tested positive for Covid-19 at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)- Ahmedabad in the last 24 hours. All of them have been vaccinated against the virus.
After the positive cases were detected, IIM Ahmedabad imposed restrictions on people coming from outside.
Furthermore, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided on a Covid action plan and is conducting Covid-19 tests for those students who came in contact with the positive students.
Over the last couple of days, educational institutions like Gujarat Law University recorded 60 plus cases while NID reported 30 plus cases.
Gujarat on Thursday recorded 228 new Covid-19 cases, recording a 110-day high. Of the new cases, 26 new cases were reported from Vadodara, 20 in Surat, 12 in Rajkot, 7 in Jamnagar, 5 in Navsari, and 4 each in Gandhinagar city and Bharuch among others.
The active caseload stood at 1,102.
Meanwhile, on the vaccination front, 85,738 individuals were administered vaccine doses in the past 24 hours in Gujarat. Of these, 42,003 people were given booster doses while 13,515 people in the 12-14 age group took second dose of the vaccination.
